Kennedy Girls Lacrosse Club

~2010~

Welcome to the 2010 season!

Captain's practices are for Varsity players, JV players and new players, this is to build your endurance, hone your skills, help your team be the best it can be and bond with Kennedy lacrosse players.

These practices will start soon, but until then please run three times a week for 20 minutes and do 50 sit ups or similar abdominal workout, you need a strong core for lacrosse.

Your 2009 Captains...

Natalie Merrill, Katie Jovanovich and Maryam Jafari will get you started!

Work on STICK skills, passing, CATCHING, dig up ground balls, short sprints...you need speed out on that field!

Are you REALLY doing wall ball on the weekends?

Are you using both hands?

Bring it to every practice and be ready to get it done at game time!

Guard your player, be within a sticks length DO NOT get a three second penalty and give the opposing team a free shot at out goal!

-Lacrosse is the fastest growing sport in the North-West, there are over 2300 kids playing on High School teams in Washington.

-We started our Kennedy Girls Lacrosse Club team in 2008 with 41 girls and it was so exciting to begin 2009 with 46, are you ready for 2010?

- You can earn a Varsity Letter, but you'll work hard for it, the ultimate goal is to reach the State Championships on May 15, 2010 and bring that trophy to Kennedy!

Captains Practices:

Pre-Season Training

We'll let you know the dates and then twice a week right after school we'll meet in the locker room, head over to the weight-room, then out to the field!

This is for all girls who want to play Lacrosse spring 2010.

We will be focusing on getting back into the game, stick skills, shooting, scrimmaging, building endurance and bonding.

Do not put off running, it has to begin sometime so lets do it now!

Please check our website often and check your emails, that is the best form of communication.
